Jean M. Judd, Contaminated Water #1, 2010, Thread on hand dyed textile, 20"h x 42.25"w

New series of textile art entitled Contaminated Water. The images of the piece Contaminated Water #1, is reflective of the gasoline and oil slicks that can be seen in many waterways where boats are docked. Note the partial image of a dead floating fish in the top center edge of the artwork. The concentrated circles hand stitched into the artwork are the swirls made from tossing rocks into the water.
