Jean M. Judd, Contaminated Water #2: Pond Scum, 2010, Thread on hand dyed rust pigmented textile, 15"h x 42"w

This is the second piece in the new textile artwork series Contaminated Water. This piece shows the effects of iron in our waterways with films and streaks of rust on the water. Densely hand stitched swirls represent the ripple effect from bugs landing and taking off from the surface of the water.
