Elizabeth Roman, "The sounds of innocence", 2015, Acrylic on canvas, 61cm x 46cm / 24in x 18.1in

In my paintings I want to capture a short but important time. Through my art I would like to tell the event and raise the questions. I think my paintings offer me the chance to try to develop a critical awareness, speaking through image. Generally in my work I found my inspiration in the observation of people and all these significant events around the world "The art leaves its aesthetic roll to take a protest, reflection and critical intention towards different society highlights".

Today different social, cultural, political, and climatic factors liven up the debate about narrative painting where “The painting that tells the event, raises the questions, the painting that offers the chance to develop a critical awareness, speaking through image”.
