Albert Pedulla, Double Portrait (Meg #1, #2 and #3), 2007, C-print photo-documentation of Tanograph, 11 x 14 each

The three photographs, Double Portrait (Meg #1, #2 and #3), are straightforward, un-manipulated photo documentation. They document what I call a tanograph. The tanograph was created by shooting a photographic portrait of Meg and making an 8 x 10 inch negative of the exposure. I affixed this negative to Meg and, utilizing the photosensitive properties of human skin, tanned the (positive) image of Meg
