School Notebook

Standing In front of a blackboard again I am taking back the Time.

I can still feel the magic of the place,
where the desire of cognition interlaces with the fear of test result,
where the truth of statements and definitions was undermined by the lack of right margins in the notebook.

I remember all the important words:

blackboard
chalk
penholder
nib
ink pot
ink
notebook

Twelve pages of the notebook,
twelve small pictures presenting a boy standing at a blackboard.
Pictures unveil mysterious elements hidden in the school reality,
they show its dual sense, widens the scale of understanding.

They tell a story about the beginnings of an important experience:
hope, joy, sadness, anxiety, contestation.

They assure about and effort we make to:
remind, remember, know.

The cycle School Notebook is inspired by a fragment of an essay by Tadeusz Kantor.
