Bio Forms The current oil paintings and works on paper in the Bio Forms Series pertain to a somatic realm. This series constitutes an expedition into the internal space that can be found within our corporeal world, a vital microcosm that takes shape in radiant, even animate-seeming forms, a visceral sense of flux. Whereas the Convergence Series captures the human spirit, the works in the Bio Forms Series comprise an inquiry into our physical domain.

The Convergence Series evinces the influence of time spent in Thailand and other parts of Asia. The concept of the wholeness of self motivates the mid-size and large canvases, which feature a contrast of semi-precious stones (mostly garnets) and acrylic paint. The balance of these elements, providing a rich, incandescent palette, evokes a slow, luminous eruption. The series evokes the intuitive self and seeks to capture the serenity of the transcendental soul.
